Pluto the planet of Transformation in the Gate of the Fighter

30/05/2015 Pluto has gone back to Gate 38: The Fighter where it will hang out until 3rd January 2016. Do you have Gate 28 in your chart? If so, this connection with Gate 38 activated by Pluto gives you definition of your Spleen and Root centres via the Channel of Struggle: the energy and desire to fight for what is most meaningful in your life - a powerful Individual mutative energy that empowers (or not) by overcoming obstacles to find or create a sense of purpose. The Root centre is the stress of change that arises out of fear or the vitalising drive for improvement [...]

Projectors and Invitations

When Projectors first discover the information about their Type, they often describe an inner recognition of something they have always known or sensed, and here it is confirmed in writing. It can feel like having permission to finally relax and let go of the pressure and struggle to act like a Generator. It is permission to stop doing something that has never felt comfortable or aligned – the ‘doing’ life. However, this feeling of relief is almost immediately followed by the mental worries about survival, and worth, especially if the Will centre is open. How will I live if I don’t behave like everybody else? [...]

The many faces of politics. Leadership Elections UK 2015

With the leadership contest in the UK hotting up, here's a very brief overview of who they really are according to their Human Design. Human Design is a profiling tool par excellence revealing in great depth and details someone's strengths, skills, abilities and potential challenges, weaknesses and their source of potential wisdom which comes out of the experiences they meet in life.   Ed Miliband – Generator 5/1 Heretic (Leader)/Investigator Ed is designed to respond with emotional clarity to opportunities to bring higher principles in which he has a firm foundation and deep conviction to the inspired leadership of people towards better ways of ensuring [...]

Initiating vs Manifesting

I want to speak about the difference between initiating and manifesting. Many newcomers to Human Design receive the information that they should not initiate in life, but would be better served by waiting to respond, or be clear, or for an invitation. They then start to question their life by looking for actions that are initiating, and attempt to stop themselves acting in this way, as though it were dangerous or bad. (My hand is up to this one!) The Law of Attraction shows us that we are all master manifestors - not Manifestors as the Human Design Type. It is this manifesting through attraction [...]

Human Design is not a recipe book

When I first started my journey with Human Design, I didn’t and, to be fair to me, couldn’t fully realise what it was I had got my hands on and my mind into. I have had a tendency to jump into systems, learn the rules and follow them to the letter unquestioningly. I was never the kid creating trouble at school because I quickly learned what was expected from me, and did just that. So, looking back, it really was no surprise that this was another set of teachings to which I applied myself diligently, doing what I thought was expected of me. I literally [...]

The Gentle Art of Contemplation

When working with Human Design or Gene Keys concepts, it can be easy to be drawn into someone else's explanation of what they mean. Or to think you know what it means.  This is OK but it isn't the full picture. It's just the beginning of what could turn into a beautiful relationship. Each word is like a door. Doors often tell you very little about the room on the other side! Meeting a concept in this way is like meeting a person you've maybe seen from a distance, someone who is a regular in your local coffee shop. You known and recognize them by [...]

Appreciating Waiting

This subject of 'waiting' is one that is well worth contemplating and experimenting with. Waiting to Respond is the life strategy for Generators; waiting for Invitations is the life strategy for Projectors, and waiting through the cycle of a lunar month is the life strategy for Reflectors. But what is this 'waiting' for and why is it beneficial to learn to wait? In my own personal experiment I have found so many different ways to 'wait'; waiting helplessly for something or someone else to act first; waiting in a state of apathy; waiting as a restriction on desire and impetus; waiting as a mind game; [...]

What Is the Waiting part of my Strategy?

What is Waiting?   When you encounter Human Design, you immediately come across the concept of waiting as part of your Strategy. Generators are told to Wait to respond. Emotional Generators are told to Wait for clarity. Projectors are told to Wait for invitation. Reflectors are told to Wait for lunar cycles. Manifestors are told to Inform before initiating and impacting. (waiting is implicit in that they do not initiate all the time) In an action-focused society, we are led from our minds, so this waiting can be difficult to comprehend. How can you wait when the dinner needs to be cooked, the children want attention, [...]

Time Limits discriminate against Emotional Authority

I'm sure you will have come across time-limited offers for various products and services. Those ones where there is some idea that if you don't respond quickly - instantly even - you will miss out on something. 50% of the world's population has an emotional inner authority. What does this mean in practical terms? These are people who need to take time to feel through a process before reaching clarity about their decision. That time element can be minutes, hours, days, weeks and longer. Simply stated, if you are one of these people*, none of these sales pitches will ever offer you anything you need [...]

I’Ching Hexagram 59 – breaking down barriers to intimacy

Here are some of my thoughts from exploring the I'Ching Hexagram 59 Dispersion - The gate of sexuality; breaking down barriers to intimacy. Gene Key 59 Shadow: Dishonesty  Gift: Intimacy   Siddhi: Transparency WhT http://www.covegallery.com/index.cfm?page=Gallery-Artists&artistid=20 Human Design & GeneKeys is based on the concept that the hexagrams of the I'Ching are actually our own DNA. They are the story of our life experiences and potential for expanded consciousness. What I have long held as my personal theme in relationships is feeling rejected, alienated, an 'outsider' and 'black sheep'. As a child and into my mid life, I never felt I truly belonged to one [...]
